Mini Sloppy Joes on Garlic Bread
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup diced yellow onion
- 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
- 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 slices of garlic toast (found in the frozen section)
- 1 – 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (any kind you like, such as sharp cheddar)
Instructions
- Cook the Meat – In a large pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the onions, bell peppers, and garlic until the meat is browned. Drain any extra grease if needed.
- Make the Sauce – Stir in the tomato paste, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
- Prepare the Garlic Toast – Bake the garlic toast according to the package instructions. Once done, press down the center of each slice with a spoon to create a small dip.
- Assemble & Bake – Spoon the Sloppy Joe mixture onto each toast, then sprinkle with cheese. Put them back in the oven until the cheese melts.
- Serve & Enjoy – Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Sloppy Joes on garlic toast!
